Jemma graduated in 2012 from the Ulster University in Belfast with a First Class Honours degree in Fine & Applied Art, specialising in ceramics.

Based in Crumlin, County Antrim in Northern Ireland, she use traditional hand-building techniques to craft unique, functional forms using terracotta.

Inspired by the beautiful meadows that surround Jemma's home in the countryside of County Antrim; she produced a Meadow Plate range of functional table-ware as a reflection of the wonderful array of local wildflowers.

Each surface of the Meadow Plate range is adorned with a floral sprig, made from real, locally sourced flowers. After bisque firing to 1000°C, each surface has a rich white tin glaze applied and is fired to 1100°C, producing a beautifully crisp contrast against the earthy red clay.

Jemma has been supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Antrim & Newtownabbey Borough Council.
